About Me
Katherine N. McCombs (Kate) is a diversely talented entertainment manager.
With a BFA in Stage Management from SU Drama, an M.S. in Communications from the S.I. Newhouse School, intensive training through The Juilliard Professional Apprentice Program, hands-on experience in events and arts administration, a focus in new play development, and global experience in entertainment management, she is uniquely qualified to manage any opportunity.
Katherine is a self-proclaimed “Professional Problem-Solver”. She has worked as a circus manager, stage manager, academic program administrator, director of communications, assistant managing director, bar manager, bartender, barista, party-planner, wedding coordinator, wardrobe manager, dresser, voice-over artist, life coach, personal assistant, poet, social media manager, and freelance writer.
Katherine calls NYC, Dubai, and the Berkshires home, each depending on the day. During her time in Dubai, she spoke more Spanish than English and is still proficient in the language. She speaks enough basic Russian, Hindi, ASL, and Arabic to have managed her team members, though she’ll never claim to speak them with any fluency. She is known for overusing the word “Y’all” and otherwise abusing her position as the “Token American” in a British entertainment office during her time overseas.
She loves partner dancing, red wine, bourbon, historical fiction, poetry, storytelling, bad jokes, painting, and talking to strangers. This last one has landed her in some wonderful adventures and professional opportunities.
Her current resume is available here.
